Graduated from the Kyoto City University of Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Vocal Music, and completed the Master's course at the Graduate School of Music at the same university. She began studying abroad in Germany in 2006. In 2012, she completed her studies at the Vocal Music Education Department of the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar. During her time in Germany, she sang as a soloist in various concerts, and appeared in numerous operas as a member of the chorus at the Weimar State Opera.

In March 2012, she returned to Japan. In 2013, she played the role of "The Magic Flute Boy 1" at the opera directing seminar by Peter Konwitschny (Biwako Hall). In the same year, she invited her former teacher, soprano singer Marietta Zumbült, to hold a joint recital, which was well received. She also hosted the "Public Vocal Master Course" by the same person, and acted as a German interpreter. In October of the same year, she participated in the "Public Master Course on German Lied and Piano Accompaniment by Professor Wolfram Rieger" (sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs/Japan Federation of Musicians) at Izumi Hall as a duo with Shiyo Matsuura. She has attended master classes by Sylvia Geszty (Vienna), Elly Ameling & Jörg Demus (Kyoto), and Yumiko Samejima & Helmut Deutsch (Munich).

1st place in the high school division of the 12th Wakayama Music Competition.

Selected for the Osaka competition in the university student division of the 57th Student Music Competition of Japan.

3rd place in the song category of the 6th Tokyo International Vocal Competition (no one won 1st place)

After passing the audition, she gave four solo recitals, including the "Miku Kusumoto Soprano Recital" (Osaka Izumi Hall), part of the Osaka 19 Recital Series, a project to develop up-and-coming performers, sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Japan Federation of Musicians.

In opera, she has played the roles of Adina in "The Elixir of Love," Mimi in "La Bohème," Adele in "Count Ory," and Oman in "Koikosode no Taki."

In 2021, as part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "ARTS for the future!" grant project, she hosted the Vocal Lecture Concert Vol.1 - Abdominal breathing? Chest breathing? Which breathing method suits you? - in which she gave lectures and sang.

She studied vocal music under Atsuko Kikawada and Marietta Zumbült, German pronunciation under Birgit Holfeld, vocal pedagogy under U. Rynkowski-Neuhof, and choral conducting and direction under R. Schöne and G. Berger.

He is currently a member of the Japan Federation of Musicians and a part-time lecturer at Osaka Shin-ai Gakuin University.
